2016 GHA Stallion Service Sale - Rules

1. Buyer may not resell the stallion's services without the express permission of the stallion's owner

2. Should the Buyer wish to resell the stallion's services, after receiving permission from the stallion owner to do so, he or she may not price the breeding for more than the GHA Stallion Service Sale price.

3. Members of GHA's Board of Directors, GHA officers, family members of either, and the GHA coordinator of the sale may not purchase any stallion's services during the first thirty (30) days of the sale. They can, however, place their names on a waiting list to purchase the stallion's services on or after the 31st day should there be no approved sale by that time.

4. The sale price for a stallion's services is one-half his normal stud fee, except where the stud fee exceeds $2,000 or falls below $1,000. For a normal stud fee exceeding $2,000, GHA's Stallion Service Sale price will be $1,000. For a normal stud fee falling below $1,000, GHA's Stallion Service Sale price will be $500.

5. For all breedings sold in GHA's Stallion Service Sale, Buyer will pay all collection, shipping costs, container deposits, AI, & mare care where applicable, in addition to the Stallion Breeding Fee.

6. GHA will register all eligible foals which result directly from Stallion Service Sale breedings at no cost, and, should GHA establish a futurity, these foals will be eligible for inclusion in the futurity.

7. It is the responsibility of the Mare owners to abide by each individual Stallion's Breeding contract. 1

8. Stallion Owners must approve any Mare before purchase of the Breeding by the Mare owner. Stallion Owners reserve the right to not to approve any mare for any reason or cause without explanation. Stallion Service Sale Coordinator, Sandra Adams (GHA2016Coordinator@yahoo.com), will serve as intermediary between the Stallion Owner and Buyer.

9. Stallions Owners donating their Stallions Service will receive a complimentary Membership or Registration for the donation of their Stallion.

10. It is the responsibility of the Mare owner to request a Semen motility report, if available, before purchase.

11. Third party purchases of Stallion Service Sale breedings are not permitted.

12. There will be no refunds under any circumstances.
