2016 GHA Stallion Service Sale - Purchase Information
- 1. Contact the owner of the stallion in which you are interested, if necessary.
Before purchasing, ask any questions you may have about the horse & the particulars of the breeding contract.
Make sure the type(s) of breedings offered will work for you (ie. live cover, AI, chilled, frozen) and discuss
collection costs.
2. Click on the "Purchase" button (found next to the stallion's listing) to email your request.
In the email to SSS Coordinator, Sandra Adams GHA2016Coordinator@yahoo.com, include your name,
the name of the stallion whose stud fee you are purchasing, your mare's name, and photos of your mare to be
used for stallion owner approval. Sandra will forward these to the stallion owner and relay
the owner's decision
to the mare owner. The time stamp on the email to Sandra will determine order of eligibility. The stallion owner
reserves the right to approve/deny any mare that will be bred to their stallion for any reason, no questions asked.
3. Wait for confirmation of mare approval and billing request from SSS Coordinator
When the stallion owner notifies Sandra of his or her approval of the mare, Sandra will notify the mare owner, who
will be billed for the stallion's fee. Upon GHA's receipt of payment, Sandra will inform the stallion owner who has
purchased the breeding, and all future contact will be between these two parties. You are purchasing the
"stud fee" only, which is at a greatly reduced price for these top stallions.
4. Mail your payment to us at the following address, or pay via PayPal:
GHA
c/o Tess Marshall, Treasurer
322 Buff Cap Rd.
Tolland, CT 06084
5. The stallion will be marked as sold for 5 days.
Once a mare has been approved, the stallion will be marked as "SOLD", pending payment. If payment is not
received within 5 days, the stallion will become available again for auction. Stallion service will be sold on a
first come, first serve basis. We will update the website often, but hurry so that you are first to request the
stallion breeding of your choice!
6. Mare owner and stallion owner enter into the stallion owner's standard breeding contract.
All future contact will be between those two parties in completing the transaction and breeding. Mare owners are
responsible for any collection & shipping costs as defined in the stallion owner's contract, to be paid directly to
the stallion owner.
If you have any questions about the 2016 Stallion Service Sale,
please don't hesitate to contact the SSS coordinator.
