Photo Submission Guidelines (sample photos coming soon!)

Previously un-registered horses with undocumented parentage must go before the Registration Review Committee for approval. The exception is in the case of a horse that is the offspring of two horses registered with the GHA, GCDHA, GVHS or GCSA/GHRA ~ these horses are automatically eligible for registration and need not go through the GHA Review Committee process but still must submit two photos for identification purposes on their registration document.

The Registration Review Committee evaluates horses based on type and conformation along with any supporting documentation. All submissions are anonymous and no personal information about horse ownership is provided to the committee.

Instructions

Submit four photos of your horse to the GHA Registrar ~ Front, Rear, Left and Right sides.

Ideally photos should be taken of the horse standing upright and square on level ground.

The photos should be full body shots, with the horse's head, tail, feather and feet visible.

Up close feather shots are not necessary but if you choose to send them take good clear pictures.

Whenever possible the tail should be pulled to one side or tied up on the rear photo so the committee can see the hock set of the horse.

Occasionally the RRC will accept non-conforming photos for review at their discretion. If you choose to submit action photos or show photos you risk possible rejection if the horse's conformation is not apparent to the committee. We recommend submitting conformation photos whenever possible.

If you have questions about registration please contact our Registrar Jill Wilson at registrar@gypsyhorseassociation.org or call toll free (802) 595-3100.
